On Atriplex spinifera shrubs near Soda Lake. Thallus mostly absent. Apothecia abundant, often crowded, round to folded, raised off substrate and nearly stipitate, rims white pruinose, cracked, disks translucent pale to green to peach and then darkening but not black, eprunose. Epihymenium thin, brown, with small POl+ crystals soluble in KOH. Hymenium short, ~50µm, hyaline. Amphithecum thick with algae, with a thick cortex of round cells20-30µm extending down and around the base of the apothecia, POL+ soluble crystals in the pigmented cortex, not in medulla tissue. Paraphyses rather thick, 2-3µm, brached distally. Spores simple, hyaline, ellipsoid. 9.9x3.6
