A small Earth ball shaped found in soil and is associated with surrounding trees and not often seen until exposed by fire. This species must be reasonable common as the ground is often littered with the opened up shells which remain after spore disposal. The image shows this species before and after fire. It is also a sought after food source for small animals attracted by the strong garlic odour.
